Plumbing

The leak does not call between nine and five.

Water damage gets worse by the minute, and the caller wants to hear a voice now. Ringaide answers, calms the situation, tells them where the main tap is, and books the visit before they can call the next plumber.

The real problem

By the time you hear the voicemail, they have someone else.

A leak is one of the few household problems where people simply keep dialling until somebody picks up. Second on the list wins as often as first. That is why an unanswered phone in this trade is not a delayed job, it is a lost one.

The calls that hurt most are the ones that arrive while you are already inside somebody else's bathroom, with the water off and your phone in the van.

What it does on a plumbing call

The first minute, handled properly.

It stops the damage first

Before anything about appointments, the agent asks whether the water is still running and walks the caller to the main tap. A caller who closes the tap in the first minute has a smaller job and a better morning, and they remember who told them.

It captures what you need

Where it leaks, since when, what is underneath, and whether the ceiling below is wet. Enough to know what to put in the van.

Nights and weekends

The hours where most leaks happen are exactly the hours nobody answers. That is where this pays for itself first.

It wakes you only when needed

A dripping tap gets a slot on Thursday. A burst supply pipe gets you on the phone within a minute.

It books while they are still on the line

Two concrete times from your calendar, a text confirmation immediately afterwards, and the address and postcode already written down in the format you use.

Questions from plumbers

What your colleagues ask.

Will it give a price over the phone?

Only if you have given it fixed prices, for example a call-out charge or an hourly rate. For anything that depends on what is behind the wall it says honestly that it needs to be seen first.

Can it tell a real emergency from a panicking caller?

It asks the two questions that actually settle it: is water still coming, and is it reaching anything electrical. That is more reliable than judging how upset someone sounds.

What about landlords and property managers?

Those calls are recognised as a different type. It captures the tenant details and the address separately, because the person who calls is not the person who will open the door.

Can it handle my regular maintenance customers?

Yes. Recurring customers can be recognised by their number, so the agent already knows the address and does not ask everything again.
